This Privacy Policy applies when you visit ignousphere.com, create an account, contact support, place an order, recharge or use a reseller wallet, download a digital resource, or order a physical product. IGNOU Sphere acts as the data fiduciary for personal data processed through the platform.

IGNOU Sphere is an independent educational support platform. This policy does not cover IGNOU's official websites or third-party websites reached through external links.

Depending on how you use the platform, we may process:

• Account data: name, email address, phone number, encrypted password hash, account role and preferences.
• Order data: purchased items, price, discount, payment reference, status, invoice-related information and download entitlement.
• Delivery data: recipient name, phone, address, locality, landmark, city, state, postal code and courier tracking details for physical orders.
• Wallet/reseller data: plan, balance, recharge and debit ledger, discounts and related transaction references.
• Support data: messages, order references and information you provide while resolving a request.
• Usage data: pages visited, referral source, campaign parameters, device/browser logs and interaction events where permitted.

We do not ask you to provide a card PIN, UPI PIN or internet-banking password. Payment credentials entered in the payment window are handled by the payment service provider, not by our application database.

We use personal data only for specified and lawful purposes, including to:

• create and secure your account;
• calculate prices, accept payments and maintain order records;
• provide purchased downloads and prevent unauthorised distribution;
• prepare, dispatch and track physical products;
• operate wallet/reseller features and maintain an auditable ledger;

• measure and improve site usability when analytics consent is given; and
• meet accounting, tax, consumer-protection and other legal obligations.

Where processing relies on consent, you may withdraw that consent. Withdrawal does not invalidate processing already completed and may limit an optional feature that needs the relevant data.

Essential cookies/local storage support login sessions, security, cart state and your privacy choice. The site may also remember first/last referral information for a limited attribution period. These functions help complete an order and diagnose service issues.

Google Analytics or Meta Pixel is loaded only when configured and you accept analytics through the consent banner. You can choose “Essential only”. We do not sell or rent personal data. We share the minimum necessary information with:

• Cloud storage and hosting providers to run the platform and securely deliver files;
• Email, notification and support providers to send transactional updates and resolve requests;
• Analytics providers only where configured and permitted by your choice; and
• Authorities or professional advisers when disclosure is required by law or necessary to protect rights, users or the service.

Providers receive data for defined services and are expected to process it under their applicable contracts, privacy terms and legal obligations. Some infrastructure providers may process data outside your state or country subject to applicable transfer rules.

We use role-based access, password hashing, access-controlled storage, short-lived download links, HTTPS and operational logging. No online system is risk-free; please use a unique password and report suspicious account activity promptly.

Data is kept only for as long as needed for the stated purpose, active account/service, dispute handling, fraud prevention and mandatory accounting, tax or legal records. When retention is no longer justified, data is deleted or de-identified, subject to secure backup cycles and legal holds.

Subject to applicable law and necessary identity verification, you may request:

• a summary of personal data being processed and relevant processing information;
• correction, completion or updating of inaccurate data;
• erasure of data no longer required, unless retention is legally necessary;
• withdrawal of consent for optional processing;
• grievance redressal; and

Send requests from your registered email/phone to admin@ignousphere.com. We may ask for an order reference or limited verification information. We aim to acknowledge consumer grievances within 48 hours and resolve them within one month, subject to the request's complexity and applicable law.

The platform is designed for learners who can legally enter a purchase contract. A person under 18 should use the service only with a parent or lawful guardian. We do not knowingly use children's data for behavioural advertising.

We may update this policy when services, providers or law change. Material changes will be highlighted through the site or an appropriate account communication, and the updated date will appear at the top of this page.
